Join B103.9 and Golisano Children’s Hospital during the radiothon event to raise car seats for Safe Kids Southwest Florida and Golisano Children’s Hospital. Tune in during Big Mama & The Wild Bunch from 6 a.m. – 10 a.m. on January 27th as the community comes together to raise funds to purchase vital car seats for local families. A minimum of 75 car seats are needed now, but we can know this community has the ability and generosity to ensure every child in SWFL will travel safely this year!
Golisano Children’s Hospital checks an average of 1,600 car seats per year in addition to those performed by Safe Kids in the community. More than 300 car seats are needed per year to keep children in our community commuting safely. These families also receive a car seat inspection or check-up with a certified car seat technician, as well as participate in a 2-hour safety education class.
Golisano Children’s Hospital and Safe Kids thank AAA – The Auto Club Group who have awarded this lifesaving program the generous AAA Florida Traffic Safety Grant to continue community education, provide vital car seats, and ensure families in our community have the resources needed to keep their children safe when traveling.
Together, with your donation, we can help more families and children. Approved car seats cost on average $50. Please give what you can.
Donations in the form of a check can be made payable to Lee Health Foundation with the memo B Safe- Child Advocacy Car Seats and mailed to the following address:
